Joe Gale
graduated from Temple University in 2011 with a degree in
Finance and Real Estate. As a freshman in college, Joe founded
the Temple University Ambler College Republicans. At 19, he became
the youngest person ever to serve as a committeeperson in the
Montgomery County Republican Committee when he won the position
in 2008. Joe currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Plymouth
Township Republican Committee. In 2009, Joe ran for Plymouth
Township Council. He ran in the most Democratic ward in Plymouth,
against an incumbent who outspent him 10 to 1, yet he lost by only
85 votes, receiving 47 percent of the vote.

After growing up in Philadelphia, Joe has
lived in various parts of Montgomery County since 1994. A 2001 graduate of Millersville University,
with a B.A. in Marketing, Joe is currently pursuing his M.B.A. at Philadelphia University, with the
ultimate goal of even furthering his education. A new member to the Young Republicans in 2006, Joe
enjoys working throughout the Party on a volunteer basis and looks forward to being a more active
member in 2007 and beyond. Currently employed in marketing, Joe currently resides in Horsham and
enjoys reading, music, golf and following the Philadelphia Eagles and Boston Red Sox.
Melissa Hewitt

Melissa graduated from Temple University in 1998
where she received her BA in Accounting/Finance she also received her Masters of Science in Taxation
from Philadelphia University in December 2001. Melissa just recently left Public Accounting to work
for Teva Pharmaceuticals in their tax department. Melissa has lived in Horsham since 1994. Since child
hood Melissa has been active in many campaigns from stuffing envelopes for PA congressmen and working the polls on Election Day. Most recently she helped out in Bush/Cheney 2004 and phone banks/door to door for various campaigns in 2006. Melissa is also the Youth Minister/Life Teen Coordinator at St Catherine of Siena in Horsham. In her spare time Melissa likes to read, go shopping and she bleeds Phillies Red and Eagles Green.

Ashlee Janiszewski
Corresponding Secretary
Ashlee graduated from Temple
University in 2004 with a BA in Communications and
Theatre. She has lived in Montgomery County for the
past 15 years, living in Berks County previously.
Ashlee currently works for State Farm Insurance, selling
insurance and financial products. She has been a
committeewoman in Horsham since 2006 and got involved in
politics through a family friend. Growing up, she never
thought of herself as being politically inclined but has
always felt that the youth vote is under-represented in
elections. Ashlee has helped with numerous local and
countywide elections and looks forward to helping the
YRs expand and grow. In her spare time, she enjoys
going to the shore, reading, watching movies and
volunteering.
Brittany Tressler
Immediate Past Chairman
Brittany Tressler began her political career while pursuing a
double degree in journalism and political science at the University of Maryland, College Park, campaigning for many
Maryland candidates, including previous RNC Chairman Michael Steele.
After graduating, Brittany returned to Montgomery County and became the outreach coordinate for
then-freshman State Representative Mike Vereb. In May of 2008 she took a position at the Director
of Outreach and Communication for the Montgomery county Republican Committee, and has since become
Executive Director of the organization. Brittany is also a 2008 graduate of the Anne B. Anstine
Excellence in Public Service Series, a program that educates Republican women on public service,
running for office and campaigning.
Brittany became involved with the Young Republicans in 2006, and was elected Vice Chair in April
of 2008. Brittany believes that Young Republicans generally want to network while bettering the
Party, and works to promote social and business relationships while campaigning for local candidates
and Republican ideals.

Sean Gale
Executive Director
Sean Gale has been an active
member of the Young Republicans since 2007. He is currently a junior at Temple University,
double majoring in Finance and Real Estate. Sean currently serves as the vice president of
the Temple University Ambler College Republicans. He was elected as a Montgomery County
Committeeperson in 2010. When in high school, Sean served as the president of the Plymouth
Whitemarsh High School Political Consciousness Club. Sean is also a very talented piano player
and entertainer. He can frequently be found providing entertainment at several Republican
fundraisers and events.
